Reservists must apply for an ADSW assignment with the command POC listed in the ADSW opportunity posting.  Reservists do not apply for ADSW with PERS-4G2.  Reservists must meet eligibility requirements for ADSW as outlined in OPNAVINST 1001.20C to be considered for the assignment.  After the command selects a reservist to fill the requirement, ADSW orders will be issued by PERS-4G2 if the reservist meets eligibility requirements.  The reservist can print their orders from the Navy Marine Corps Mobilization Processing System (NMCMPS).

---GUIDANCE FOR RESERVISTS IN RECEIPT OF ADSW ORDERS---

Reservists process onto active duty via the NOSC designated in their ADSW orders.  The NOSC will verify the member’s eligibility utilizing the checklist in enclosure (3) of OPNAVINST 1001.20C.  If the member fails any of the screening requirements on the ADSW checklist, the NOSC must contact PERS-4G2 for further instruction prior to taking any action affecting the member’s ADSW orders.  

Reservists in receipt of ADSW orders for 30 days or more must also process through the Navy Mobilization Processing Site (NMPS).  The ADSW orders will specify the location of the NMPS.  The NMPS will ensure the ADSW checklist in enclosure (3) of OPNAVINST 1001.20C is fully completed.  Reservists are not required to complete the entire Expeditionary Screening Checklist (ESC), NAVPERS 1300/22.  However, the NMPS may require the reservist to complete only the portions of the ESC applicable to ADSW personnel.  If a reservist fails any of the screening requirements, the NMPS shall contact PERS-4G2 for further guidance prior to taking any action affecting the member’s ADSW orders.
