Combat-Related Special Compensation (CRSC) is a benefit allowing certain career retirees to receive both retirement pay and payments for combat-related disabilities. The statute defining this program is Title 10 U.S. Code Section 1413a. The law is implemented in accordance with Department of Defense (DOD) guidance. The CRSC Branch of the Navy Council of Review Boards (CORB) manages this program for the Secretary of the Navy.
What is the CRSC Board?
The CRSC Board is an active duty military unit located at the Washington Naval Yard in Washington, D.C. it is authorized two civilians and four military personnel. We are independant of the VA (Veterans Administration) and have extreamely limited access to military and VA Records. If you have been previous approved for CRSC and your ratings have changed, we will not know unless you inform us to conduct a reconsideration applicaiton.
