Prospective Gains – Transferring to VP-26 ,
Congratulations on your orders to Patrol Squadron 26, home of the Tridents. To assist in making your transfer as smooth as possible, you will be assigned a command sponsor. Currently, Patrol Squadron 26 is forward deployed to Japan. If you are having trouble getting in contact with your sponsor, or need additional guidance please email the sponsor coordinator at email@example.com. For general guidance as to when and where to report, please see below and be sure to stay actively in contact with your sponsor.
The following are general guidelines and may deviate depending on individual circumstances. Your current command’s Student Control office and/or Administrative department should work with you to coordinate your travels to VP-26 through the Navy Passenger Transportation Office (PTO).
- If you are coming from a command at NAS Jacksonville, your Student Control/Administration Office will have you fill out a passenger reservation request form to coordinate transportation to Japan. Based on your requests, they will either work with PSD to arrange travel through Navy PTO, or you will check-in to the Navy Transient Personnel Unit (TPU): DSN: 942-4512/13 or 942-8256/68 COMM: (904) 542-4512/13 or 542-8256/68. During normal working hours (Transient Quarterdeck): DSN: 942-1007/2575 COMM: (904) 542-1007/2575. The Navy TPU will then make travel arrangements for you to Japan.
- If you are coming from a command outside NAS Jacksonville, again your Student Control/Administration Office will have you fill out a passenger reservation request form to coordinate transportation to Japan. Based on your requests, they will work with PSD to arrange travel through Navy PTO. Travel arrangements depend on availability, timing, leave in-route, and your requests.
If you have any questions, please get in contact with your sponsor or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, the Patrol Squadron 26 Duty Office number is DSN: 315-634-8873/8943 or COM: 011-81-98-961-8873/8943. You also have the option of calling Patrol Squadron 10 at COM: (904) 542-2080 and having them transfer you via DSN: 315-634-8873/8943 to Patrol Squadron 26.
Again, welcome to TEAM TRIDENT! We look forward to meeting you and sharing future challenges and opportunities.
