COMMANDER
DALE M. GREGORY

Commander Dale Gregory was born in Rochester, New York and is a 1997 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Naval Postgraduate School.

Commander Gregory was designated a Naval Flight Officer in May 1999 and reported to Fighter Squadron ONE HUNDRED ONE (VF-101), where he completed fleet replacement training in the F-14D Tomcat. In August 2000, he reported to Fighter Squadron THREE ONE (VF-31) where he deployed twice aboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) in support of Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.

Commander Gregory transitioned to the F/A-18F Super Hornet in August 2003 with the follow on assignment as an instructor in Strike Fighter Squadron ONE TWO TWO (VFA-122). Subsequently, in December 2004 he was chosen as part of the initial cadre of instructors to stand-up the Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO SIX (VFA-106) E/F detachment, the first F/A-18 Super Hornet Squadron at NAS Oceana.

In April 2006, he reported to the staff of Carrier Air Wing SEVEN (CVW-7) as the Strike Operations Officer where he deployed aboard USS Dwight D Eisenhower (CVN-69) in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.

In September 2008, he reported to Strike Fighter Squadron THREE TWO (VFA-32), where he served as the Assistant Operations Officer, Safety Officer, Administrative Officer, Maintenance Officer, and Operations Officer deploying aboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and NEW DAWN.

In January 2011, Commander Gregory attended Joint and Combined Warfighting School (JPME-2). Upon graduation he reported to the Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, DC in the J-3 Operations Directorate. He served as both an Operations Officer in the Cyberspace Operations Division and as the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director of Global Operations (Joint Staff J-39).

Commander Gregory has accumulated over 2,250 flight hours and over 450 arrested landings. His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Individual Air Medal with Combat “V”, Strike Flight Air Medal (Six Awards), the Navy Commendation Medal (Five Awards including one with Combat “V”), the Navy Achievement Medal, and various campaign and service awards.
