CMDCM(AW/SW) Jean M. Heitzman, USN
Command Master Chief
Master Chief Heitzman is a native of Easton, Pennsylvania and a graduate of Easton Area High School. She enlisted in the Navy in March 1988 under the Naval Reserve SAM Program. Upon completion of Recruit Training in Orlando, Florida, she transferred to Meridian, Mississippi, for Storekeeper "A" School, after graduation from “A” she return to Pennsylvania to fulfil her Naval Reserve commitment. In March 1989 she went active duty attend NAVET training in Orlando, Florida.
Her sea duty assignments include: USS SIMON LAKE (AS33) Holy Loch Scotland, USS FRANK CABLE (AS39), USS L.Y. SPEAR (AS36), USNS SATURN (T-AFS10), USS NORMANDY (CG60), USS LEYTE GULF (CG55), and two tours on board the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN71).
Her shore duty assignments include: Commander Mobile Mine Assembly Group, SIMA Norfolk, Seal Delivery Vehicle Team Two, Special Boat Team Twenty and Afloat Training Group Norfolk. She also volunteered for IA assignment in support of the NATO Peace keeping mission in Kosovo.
Master Chief Heitzman is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy and Command Master Chief Course. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Excelsior University.
Master Chief Heitzman has earned the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), Joint Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
