  A native of Lamesa, Texas Command Master Chief Priscilla Kirsh joined the Navy in 1988 and began her service as an undesignated Airman working on the flight line at Naval Air Station Cecil Field, Florida.

  She graduated from the Defense Information School’s Basic Journalist Course in 1990.  She served her first tour of duty in the public affairs field at Naval Air Station Cecil Field as editor of the base newspaper, where she was promoted to Journalist 3rd Class.  

  She reported to the destroyer tender USS YOSEMITE (AD 19) in 1992, where she served as a journalist until the ship’s decommissioning in 1994. Master Chief Kirsh then reported to USS MOUNT WHITNEY (LCC 20), where she was promoted to Journalist 2nd Class and earned the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist designation. 

  In 1996, Master Chief Kirsh reported to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Headquarters in Washington, D.C.  During this tour she was promoted to Journalist 1st Class and upon her selection to Chief Petty Officer, she transferred to Naval Air Station, Sigonella, Sicily in 1999, where she served as Deputy Public Affairs Officer.

  Master Chief Kirsh reported as Assistant Public Affairs Officer aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) in 2002.  She was promoted to Senior Chief in 2003 and earned the Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist designation. During this tour, she completed an eight-month deployment and stood up the Media Department, transitioning more than 40 Sailors to the new Mass Communication Specialist rating.  

  She transferred to NATO’s Headquarters, Supreme Allied Commander Transformation in Norfolk, Virginia in July 2007, serving as the Senior Enlisted Leader for more than 300 enlisted personnel from 28 NATO nations.  She was promoted to her current rank during this tour.

  Master Chief Kirsh was selected to serve as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chief of Information in Washington, D.C. from 2009 to 2012.  In this capacity she was the Senior Enlisted Leader for more than 1,300 Mass Communication Specialists Navy-wide.

  Master Chief Kirsh reported as the Media Department LCPO aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS HARRY S TRUMAN (CVN 75) in August 2012.  During this tour, she completed an eight month deployment in the Sixth and Fifth Fleet areas of responsibility.

  In March 2014, Master Chief Kirsh reported to U.S. Fleet Forces Command, where she served as Fleet Mass Communication Specialist and public affairs officer for the Fleet Master Chief.  

  In February 2015, she was selected for the Command Master Chief program.  She currently serves as the Command Master Chief for the Seahawks of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 126. 

  Master Chief Kirsh holds a bachelor's degree in communication and is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 183 and the CMC/COB Leadership Course.

  Master Chief Kirsh has earned the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
