Follow on sea tours include: USS SHASTA (AE 33), USS ARKANSAS (CG 41), USS SACRAMENTO (AOE 1) and USS HOWARD (DDG 83). While onboard SHASTA he was advanced to 1st Class and also selected as the ship's Sailor of the Year in 1988. He earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Qualification on ARKANSAS and was selected to Chief Petty Officer in 1995. Onboard SACRAMENTO he earned his Officer of the Deck (underway) qualification. Master Chief was part of the commissioning crew on HOWARD where he served as Operations Department LCPO.
Master Chief Kozlik has also had a variety of shore tours. At Fleet Combat Training Center, Pacific, San Diego, Ca., he was an instructor for Surface EW Threat Recognition where he earned his Master Training Specialist qualification. He served at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme, Ca. and was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer in 1999. Master Chief Kozlik also served at Afloat Training Group, Pacific, San Diego as a 3M assessor and earned his Afloat Training Specialist qualification during this tour. In 2006, while serving at ATGPAC, he was advanced to Master Chief Petty Officer. His advancement brought with it new orders to serve on the Staff of Commander Naval Surface Forces, San Diego, Ca. as the Force Electronic Warfare Officer. He was selected to the Command Master Chief Program in 2008 and reported aboard USS NEW ORLEANS (LPD 18) in May 2008.
Master Chief Kozlik checked on board The Wolfpack (HSL-45) on September 20th 2010 as Command Master Chief.
Master Chief Kozlik is a graduate of the Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 102, Green). His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (5 awards), Navy Achievement Medal (4 awards) and Good Conduct Medal (7 awards) and various unit awards.
