Brad L. Lewis
Command Master Chief

   Command Master Chief Brad Lewis hails from Fort Collins, Colorado.  He graduated from Rocky Mountain High School in May of 1988 and shipped to Basic Training in San Diego, CA in November of 1988.  He attended Aviation Electricians Mate “A” School in Millington, TN and Aircrew School in Pensacola, FL.  His first duty assignment was  HM-12 in Norfolk, VA where he was a student assigned to the Fleet Replacement Aircrew Candidate School (FRAC) learning to be an aircrewman in the MH-53E.  Upon graduating from FRAC he was assigned his first permanent duty station onboard “The Mighty Vanguard” of HM-14 in Norfolk, VA.  Master Chief Lewis’ other assignments have included:  HM-14, Norfolk, VA (4 tours); AIMD, NAS Brunswick, ME; Airborne Mine Countermeasures Weapons Systems Training School, Norfolk, VA and the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD.

 In February 2010, Master Chief Lewis was selected to the Command Senior Chief Program.  In February 2011, he reported for duty onboard USS KAUFFMAN

(FFG 59) to serve as the Command Senior Chief where he was subsequently promoted to Master Chief.

 Master Chief Lewis arrived at Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron NINE (HSC-9) August of 2012, to assume the position of Command Master Chief.

Master Chief Lewis’ academic achievements include an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts Studies and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a Management Concentration.  He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 136, Gold), and CMC/COB Course (Class 80).

 Master Chief Lewis’ personal decorations include: Navy Commendation Medal (Fourth Award), Navy Achievement Medal (Fifth Award) and various other unit commendations.
