Anthony E. Adams
Command Master Chief
CARRIER AIRWING THREE

Master Chief Adams was born in West Virginia and raised in Ohio. He enlisted in the United States Navy under the Delayed Entry Program in January, 1987 and completed Basic Training and Radioman "A" school at RTC/NTC, San Diego, California. He graduated from Radioman "C" school in 1992.
 
Master Chief Adams served onboard the USS DEFENDER (MCM-2) as a plank owner and served at Commander Amphibious Group Two embarked onboard the USS NASSAU (LHA-4) forward deployed ISO Operation DESERT SHIELD/STORM. He also served onboard the USS ARLEIGH BURKE (DDG-51) as the Combat Systems Department Leading Chief Petty Officer and supported Operation IRAQI FREEDOM and Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and was awarded the Commander Naval Association Leadership Award. Additionally, he was nominated, screened, and selected for assignment and completed two tours of duty at Commander, Naval Special Warfare Development Group, a CNO priority one Major Command. From March 2004-October 2006 he supported a Joint Task Force ISO Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and operation IRAQI FREEDOM supporting a Two-star Battle Staff, Flag Level Commanders, DOD and inter-agency personnel and SEALS engaged in combat.
 
Other tours of duty include the Naval Ocean Processing Facility in Dam Neck Virginia and the Naval Computer Telecommunication Station, Bahrain supporting Operation SOUTHERN WATCH where he received recognition as the Sailor of the Year. He served at the Navy and Marine Corp's Intelligence Training Center as the Navy Military Training Leading Chief Petty Officer for the Intelligence Specialist "A" school. Additionally, he served six months at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station in Norfolk, Virginia where he was selected to the Command Master Chief program in 2007.
 
In June 2008, he reported to the "Jolly Rogers" of Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO THREE as the Command Master Chief embarked onboard USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN-69) and deployed ISO OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM. In January 2010, he reported to the “Gladiators” of Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO SIX as the Command Master Chief of the Navy's largest (1,500 USN/USMC and 110 aircraft) fleet replacement squadron. In August 2011, he assumed his current role as the Command Master Chief of Carrier Air Wing THREE.
 
Master Chief Adams is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 128, Gold), the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 58), and the National Defense University's KEYSTONE Senior Enlisted course. He is qualified as an Aviation and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and certified as a Master Training Specialist. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), and numerous unit and campaign awards.
