Captain Todd Flannery Deputy Commodore

Captain Flannery graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and was designated a Naval Aviator in December 1990. He earned a Master of Science in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego in 2004.
Captain Flannery’s operational assignments include Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron 14 (HS-14), Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron 7 (HS-7), 2515th Naval Air Ambulance Detachment and Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron 15 (HS-15). He has over 2,600 flight hours primarily in the SH-3H Sea King and the SH-60F Seahawk. Flannery commanded the 2515th Naval Air Ambulance Detachment and Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron 15.
His shore assignments include tours with the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff; Flag Aide to the Director, Air Warfare Division (N88); U.S. SECOND Fleet; Navy Personnel Command (Helicopter Shore Detailer); and U.S. Joint Forces Command. He has completed the Naval War College Non-Resident Program and is a graduate of the Joint Forces Staff College. Captain Flannery reported to Commander, Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Atlantic as the Deputy Commodore in November 2011.
Flannery’s personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (Individual Action), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards including one Combat Distinguishing Device), Army Commendation Medal and other personal, campaign, and service ribbons.
