Command Master Chief

Master Chief Petty Officer Nielsa G. Jackson was born and raised in ST Thomas, Virgini Islands.  She graduated from Charlotte Amanie High School in June 1984 and immediately entered the U.S. Navy attending basic training in Orlando, Florida in August 1985.
Master Chief Jackson's myriad of duty assignments include Aviaition Maintenance Administration (AZ) "A" School in Meridian, MS, HSL-31 in San Diego, CA, HC-5 Agana, Guam, HSL-51, Atsugi, Japan, (AZ) "C", VP-46 Whidbey Island, WA, Naval Air System Command (PMA-205) Patuxent River, MD, USS THEODORE Roosevelt (CVN-71), VAW-120, Norfolk, VA, Senior Enlisted Academy, Newport, RI. In April 2011, she was advanced to Master Chief Petty Officer and assigned to HSC-28 in Norfolk, VA as the Command Master Chief, and VAW-123.
Master Chief Jackson's academic achievements include an Associate Degree in Information Systems and Business Administration; Bachelor Degree in Liberal Arts; Legal Leadership School, Command Master Chief (COB) Course, and Senior Enlisted Professional Military Education.
Master Chief Jackson's personal awards include HSL-51's "Warlords" 1995 Shore Sailor of the Year, COMFAIWESTPAC's 1995 Shore Sailor of the Year, the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy Marine Corps Achievments Medal (three awards) and Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Medal and numerous Unit and Campaign Awards.
Master Chief Jackson became the 16th Master Chief Petty Officer for Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Atlantic, the largest and most diverse Wing in the United States Navy, on July 27th, 2012.
