ROCHELEAU SEAN CDR

Sean Rocheleau
Commander,United States Navy

CDR Rocheleau is a native of Hampton Beach, New Hampshire and enlisted in 1987 as an Aviation Systems Warfare Operator and Rescue Swimmer. He was subsequently commissioned as an Ensign through the Seaman to Admiral Program in 1996. He is a graduate from Jacksonville University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in History. He was designated a Naval Aviator in 1998.

CDR Rocheleau’s sea tours include a division officer tour with the Dragonslayers of HS-11 deploying aboard both the USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV-67) and the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN-71). He also served as a Catapult and Arresting Gear Officer, V-1 Division Officer and Assistant Air Officer aboard USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV 67). His department head tour was with the Tridents of HS-3 deploying onboard the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN-71).

Ashore, CDR Rocheleau served as Deputy Director of Technical Teams, Joint Staff J7 providing live, virtual and constructive simulation for Combatant Command Exercises and Mission Rehearsal to support the National Military Strategy.

With over 2800 flight hours in the SH-3H and H-60 TMS, CDR Rocheleau’s awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (two awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and various unit and campaign decorations.

CDR Rocheleau’s service is made possible by the support of his wife Chris, and four children, Matthew, Jessica, Lauren and Sarah.
