Sea Warrior Program (PEO-EIS PMW 240) provides integrated information technology products and services that deliver cost-effective capabilities for Navy career service and Fleet readiness. Sea Warrior manages six product lines unifying over 40 critical applications designed to transform Manpower, Personnel, Training and Education (MPT&E) capabilities, as well as the supporting delivery infrastructure: Career and Manpower, Training and Education, Recruiting and Accession, Personnel and Pay, and Distance Support. Distance Support – Sea Warrior’s Distance tools are all about the afloat environment, from shipboard servers to “24/7/365” fleet support. The three Distance Support tools are:
-
Global Distance Support Center (GDSC), the most well-known and accessible Distance Support tool in the Fleet, the GDSC is manned by a dedicated team of certified call center professionals and serves as the Fleet’s single source of support on any topic for all military, their families, plus government and contract employees. GDSC is always open and can be reached by phone toll-free at (877) 418-6824, email anchordesk@navy.mil or Navy message. For more details, visit the website at http://anchordesk.navy.mil/.
-
Enterprise Customer Relationship Management (eCRM) is the backbone system of the GDSC, providing the set of capabilities enabling GDSC to operate. Support requests are documented and tracked with eCRM, which also routes requests to the appropriate source of support, produces status reports and generates metrics to evaluate resolution process effectiveness.
-
Navy Information/Application Product Suite (NIAPS) replicates data between ship and shore through shipboard NIAPS servers. NIAPS servers host onboard applications such as Navy eLearning and Navy Knowledge Online Afloat, Electronic Training Jacket and others for afloat Sailors.
Sea Warrior is the human capital component of Sea Power 21 and the conceptual business framework to transform the Navy’s MPT&E and Distance Support programs. Sea Warrior’s role is to field integrated, improved IT solutions that enable service members to direct their own professional development and support Fleet readiness assessment and reporting. Sea Warrior builds and maintains the MPT&E applications for the Total Force.
