Applied Assessment, Monitoring & Restoration (AAMR) Team

The Applied Assessment, Monitoring & Restoration (AAMR) Team provides solutions to environmental assessment, monitoring, and restoration needs at Navy sites. The team is multidisciplinary; composed of scientists and engineers, mostly with advanced degrees in chemistry, geochemistry, biology, toxicology, oceanography, environmental science, geophysics, computer science, and/or engineering. We utilize a variety of field-deployed and laboratory tools to measure, monitor, and evaluate the health of offshore waters, sediments, and organisms.

The team specializes in conducting integrated harbor surveys utilizing a variety of field-deployed and laboratory tools to measure, monitor, and evaluate the health of offshore waters, sediments, and organisms. A multidisciplinary approach is applied to evaluating field data in order to maintain environmental readiness at Naval bases.

Team focus areas include:

  • Water Quality
  • Sediment Quality
  • Ecological Risk Assessment
  • Total Maximum Daily Loads
  • Ground Water Contaminant Intrusion
  • Storm Water Impacts
  • Sediment Contaminant Fluxes
