TOTAL FORCE MANPOWER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (TFMMS)

TFMMS provides the manpower enterprise the tools to produce the Navy's authoritative manpower products (Activity Manpower Documents (AMDs), total force positions, manpower resource controls, organizational structure); provides the Manpower Change Request (MCR) process to update authoritative manpower products; and sends the manpower demand signal output to the Navy and the Manpower, Personnel, Training and Education (MPTE) processes to assure personnel readiness.

 NAVY MANPOWER REQUIREMENTS SYSTEM (NMRS)

NMRS is a decision-support information system that provides a suite of tools to determine manpower requirements for varying workload volumes under differing levels of capability and conditions of readiness as defined by Required Operational Capability/Projected Operational Environment (ROC/POE) and/or Mission Statements. It provides for the collection, storage of, and access to workload inputs for capabilities, configuration and policy data, manpower business rules and standards for algorithms, workweek constraints, and quality structuring rules.

PERSONALIZED RECRUITING FOR IMMEDIATE AND DELAYED ENLISTMENT (PRIDE) & RECRUITING DATA SYSTEM (RDS)

PRIDE is a legacy mainframe application that provides automated support for Boot Camp reservations and "A" School classifications/assignments. RDS is a collection of legacy mainframe applications that perform a variety of recruiting functions, including reporting on quality and quantity of accessions; tracking 1,500 recruiting stations' status/activity; processing acceptance and oath of new accessions; and producing reports for DoD, DON, and Congress on Navy recruiting activity as compared to other branches of service.

NAVY MILITARY PERSONNEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS (NMPDS)

NMPDS is a collection of 16 systems supporting Navy personnel distribution, mobilization, and Fleet readiness and assisting Navy planners in maintaining a flexible readiness posture. NMPDS provides the Navy Personnel Command (NPC) the ability to assign and distribute personnel and produce orders based on required training and job selection for all active enlisted and officer personnel. NMPDS provides current information to the Manning Control Authorities (MCAs), NPC, Fleet Forces Command (FFC), and Commander, Navy Reserve Force (COMNAVRESFOR) essential for personnel manning and readiness.

NAVY PERSONNEL DEPARTMENTAL SYSTEMS (PERSYS)

The Departmental systems are part of the Personnel Systems (PERSYS), a collection of systems that serve as the Navy's authoritative source for Active Duty personnel data. The Departmental systems include nine systems that provide Navy Selection Board support, including automated build of officer/enlisted eligibility files, automated generation of enlisted personnel evaluations (EVALs) and naval officer Fitness Reports (FITREPs), medals and awards information for inclusion in EVALs and FITREPs, and an automated method for creating, organizing, and maintaining officer administrative eligibility files.

OFFICER PERSONNEL INFORMATION SYSTEM (OPINS)

OPINS is a subsystem of the Personnel Systems (PERSYS), a collection of systems that serve as the Navy's authoritative source for Active Duty personnel data. A corporate system, OPINS generates and maintains the official automated personnel records of all Navy and Navy Reserve Active Duty officers, officer candidates, and midshipmen. OPINS provides critical, historical, and current data for decision-support systems as well as Selection Boards. Officer distribution and promotion processes are dependent on the quality of OPINS information, as are numerous managerial and congressional groups seeking aggregated information about the Active officer populations.

 NAVY ENLISTED SYSTEM (NES)

NES is a subsystem of the Personnel Systems (PERSYS), a collection of systems that serve as the Navy's authoritative source for Active Duty personnel data. A corporate system, NES is the Navy's authoritative database for all active duty Navy enlisted personnel. The system generates and maintains the official automated personnel records of all Navy and Navy Reserve Active Duty enlisted personnel, including current and historical records of enlisted personnel in the Enlisted Master File (EMF). Enlisted distribution and promotion processes are dependent on the quality of NES information, as are numerous managerial and congressional groups seeking aggregated information about the Active enlisted populations.

 NAVY PERSONNEL DATABASE (NPDB)

NPDB is a subsystem of the Personnel Systems (PERSYS), a collection of systems that serve as the Navy's authoritative source for Active Duty personnel data. NPDB is the Navy's single source database, consolidating Navy Manpower and Personnel data from the Navy's current databases. It contains current and historical data on more than 1.75 million Navy members and annuitants, including officers, candidates, enlisted active and inactive, as well as those in a retired status. The Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Active Component Common Personnel Data System (ACCPDS), and Reserve Component Common Personnel Data System (RCCPDS) all rely on NPDB data.

PEOPLESOFT OFFICER PROMOTION ADMINISTRATIVE SYSTEM (PS-OPAS)

PS-OPAS is a subsystem of the Personnel Systems (PERSYS), a collection of systems that serve as the Navy's authoritative source for Active Duty personnel data. PS-OPAS supports the administration of officer promotions, the scheduling of promotion boards, and the storage of officer promotions data. The system provides PERS-8 with an automated method for managing Active Duty and Reserve Naval officer promotions and Statutory Selection Boards eligibility data files. PS-OPAS provides a centralized Web interface to handle all tasks associated with the administration of promotion selection for all Navy officers.

 NAVY PERSONNEL CORPORATE REPORTING (NPCR)

NPCR is a subsystem of the Personnel Systems (PERSYS), a collection of systems that serve as the Navy's authoritative source for Active Duty personnel data. NPCR provides a wide range of personnel data processing services, including application software maintenance, data extraction, system interface creation, and reports production of both specialized and formatted reports.

NAVY STANDARD INTEGRATED PERSONNEL SYSTEM (NSIPS)

NSIPS is the Navy's single, field-entry, electronic pay and personnel system and data repository for all active duty and reserve Sailors. Available worldwide, both ashore and shipboard, the system collects, validates, processes, and transfers data necessary to ensure accurate and timely pay and maintenance of personnel records. It provides functionality such as the Ship's Diary, official certifications and qualifications, leave processing, and page 2 verifications. It offers Sailors round-the-clock self-service access to their Electronic Service Record (ESR) and training data, and provides them the ability to update personal information. NSIPS is pivotal in the processes of mobilization and demobilization, and has replaced seven legacy Human Resource systems.

INACTIVE MANPOWER AND PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (IMAPMIS)

IMAPMIS is the corporate database for the Navy's Inactive Reserve, maintaining 850,000 personnel master records for members of the Selected Reserve, Individual Ready Reserve (IRR), Standby Reserve, and all United States Navy (USN) and United States Navy Reserve (USNR) Retired. IMAPMIS supports IRR mobilization readiness and personnel data reporting. IMAPMIS accumulates participation information to determine Reserve members' eligibility for retirement and delivers Annual Retirement Point Records (ARPR) and Notices of Eligibility (NOE) to members via the Navy Web site.
