Captain Nathan Moyer
Chief of Staff, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command
A native of New Bedford, Massachusetts, Captain Moyer graduated from Cornell University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
His sea duty assignments include Auxiliaries Officer in USS WADSWORTH (FFG 9), Operations Officer in USS OSPREY (MHC 51), First Lieutenant in USS FORT MCHENRY (LSD 43), Executive Officer in USS BLACK HAWK (MHC 58), Executive Officer in USS JUNEAU (LPD 10), Commanding Officer in USS FORT MCHENRY (LSD 43), Executive Officer in USS GREEN BAY (LPD 20) and Commanding Officer in USS GREEN BAY (LPD 20).
His shore assignments include Officer Programs Officer for Naval Recruiting District Buffalo, New York, Commanding Officer, Navy Operational Support Center Earle, New Jersey, Assistant Chief of Staff in charge of Personnel and Manpower for Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic, Branch Head for Surface Maintenance on the OPNAV staff and Deputy Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group SEVEN/Amphibious Force 7th Fleet.
Captain Moyer reported to Navy Expeditionary Combat Command in December 2017 where he assumed duties as the Chief of Staff.
He is a graduate of the Naval War College where he earned a Master's Degree in National Security Studies.
