COMMAND MASTER CHIEF
LEE M. WRIGHT
UNITED STATES NAVY
Master Chief Lee M. Wright was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. He enlisted in the United States Navy as an undesignated deck seaman and entered Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL in October 1989.
Following recruit training, Master Chief Wright reported to Deck Division in USS CROMMELIN (FFG 37) where he completed two Counter Narcotics Law Enforcement deployments in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. His next sea tour was in PCU ROSS and USS ROSS (DDG 71) as Leading Petty Officer of Navigation Division, where he deployed to the Mediterranean Sea assigned to THEODORE ROOSEVELT Strike Group in support of OPERATION NOBLE ANVIL and participated in BALTOPS 2000. His third sea tour was onboard USS SHILOH (CG 67) as Navigation Division LCPO where he participated in Ballistic Missile Defense testing and hull swap with USS CHANCELLORSVILLE (CG 62), where he served as Executive Department LCPO. He later served as Command Senior Chief for USS FREEDOM (LCS 1) Gold Crew.
Master Chief Wright’s shore tours include a tour as a production recruiter at Navy Recruiting District Columbus, Ohio, and as a production recruiter and classifier at Navy Recruiting District Dallas, TX where he was selected as Classifier of the Year for Navy Recruiting Command in 2003. He subsequently served on the staff of Commander, US Naval Forces Central Command where he was LCPO of the N31 Scheduling Shop and the 5th Fleet Watch Floor. He later served as Port Operations LCPO at Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek
Master Chief Wright holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Touro University International and an MBA in Human Resource Management from Trident University International. He has been awarded the Navy Commendation Medal with 3 gold stars, the Navy Achievement Medal with one silver star, and various unit and campaign awards.
