Rear Admiral Gene F. Price
Reserve Deputy Commander, U.S. TENTH Fleet

Rear Adm. Gene Price received his commission as a Navy Reserve Intelligence officer in 1986. As a junior officer, he served in a variety of assignments, including USEUCOM's Crisis Action Team, targeted during the War in Kosovo, and as political advisor for NATO's Ambassador to Macedonia.

Price was mobilized to USNAVCENT N2 in 2003, where he supported Operation Iraqi Freedom as chief of Iraqi Maritime Analysis. During this period, he led an analytical team located in southern Iraq, and concluded his mobilization as NAVCENT's chief of intelligence operations.

Price next commanded NR Naval Forces Central Command 0267, recognized as Navy Reserve Intelligence Command's Unit of the Year in 2006.  He then commanded USPACOM's Joint Detachment Minneapolis, which was recognized as USPACOM's reserve detachment of the year both years of his assignment.  He was then selected for major command at Navy Intelligence Reserve Region Southeast in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was responsible for reserve intelligence manpower and training requirements across the southeast and Europe.

Price was again mobilized in 2011 to Afghanistan, where he served as senior U.S. Intelligence Officer to Region North in Mazar-e Sharif.  He also led its Multinational Fusion Center in conjunction with U.S. Coalition partners. After redeployment, he was assigned as deputy senior inspector, Information Dominance Corps Reserve Command, Fort Worth, Texas.  He was selected for rear admiral in 2014.

Price has received several awards and campaign medals.  He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville and is a Partner with Frost Brown Todd LLC, a nationally-ranked law firm, specializing in ERISA, gaming and maritime law.  As a civilian, he was selected by his peers as a member of "Best Lawyers in America" for 2014.
