LCDR Andrew Reeves
Lieutenant Commander Andrew “Andy” Reeves, a native of Seattle, Washington, enlisted in the Navy in June of 1990 as a Cryptologic Technician Interpretive and served at NSGA Galeta Island, Panama until 1994. He later graduated from the Seattle University (Seattle, WA) in 1997 with a degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies and was commissioned upon graduation from Officer Candidate School in Pensacola in December 1998.
Following graduation from Cryptologic Division Officer Course in June 1999, he reported to Naval Security Group Activity Yokosuka, Japan where he deployed as a Surface Cryptologic Direct Support Division Officer and served as the Signals Analysis Division Officer.
In September 2001, he reported to USS FIFE (DD 991), homeported in Everett, Washington where he served as the Signals Intelligence/Electronic Warfare Officer and made numerous deployments to the Southern Pacific in support of counter drug operations.
In June 2003, he reported to the Naval Post Graduate School (Monterey, CA) where he earned a Master’s of Science Degree in Systems Engineering and completed his Joint Professional Military Education Phase I.
In September 2005, he reported to staff of the Chief of Naval Operations N6 as a Requirements Officer for the Information Systems Security Program.
In January 2009, he deployed for 365 days to Baghdad, Iraq and served on the Multi National Corps-Iraq (MNC-I) Staff in the Information Operations Cell as the Computer Network Operations Planner and OIC of the Network Warfare Fusion Branch in support of Iraqi Freedom.
In February of 2010, he reported to Commander, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. TENTH Fleet as the Deputy, Future Operations and Cryptologic Resource Coordinator (CRC).
In 2012 he reported to Navy Information Operations Command Yokosuka, Japan for a second tour this time as an OPS/XO Fleet-up. Having completed one year as the Operations Officer (N3), he is currently serving as the Executive Officer (N01).
His awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal and various unit awards.
