LCDR Kenneth Kemmerly
Lieutenant Commander Kemmerly is a native of New Orleans, La. In 2000, he graduated from McNeese State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. After completion of Officer Candidate School at Naval Air Station Pensacola, he was commissioned as an Ensign on October 6, 2000.
After completing Naval Cryptologic Officer Basic Course at Corry Station in February 2001, he reported to Naval Security Group Activity, San Diego where he deployed as a Surface Direct Support Officer and served as the FES Division Officer and Facilities (N4) Department Head.
In March 2004, he reported to Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif., where he earned a Master of Science in Systems Engineering in Information Warfare as well as Joint Professional Military Education, Phase I.
In December 2006, he reported aboard USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) as Information Warfare Officer and deployed twice to C5F AOR and the Western Pacific in Support of Operation IRAQI and ENDURING FREEDOM.
In December 2008, he reported to Navy Information Operations Command, Colorado where he stood watch as a mission manager for national resources, served as an operations department head and as deputy for Specific Emitter Identification (SEI).
In November 2011, he reported to Carrier Strike Group ONE, embarked aboard USS CARL VINSON as the Cryptologic Resource Coordinator and deployed to C7F/C5F AOR and stood watch as Battle Watch Captain.
In January 2014, he reported to Carrier Strike Group FIFTEEN as the Information Operations Syndicate Head responsible for training and certification in the integrated phase for deploying strike groups, ARG’s, and independent deploying units in the IO mission area.
In July 2015, he reported to Navy Information Operations Command, Yokosuka as the Executive Officer..
His awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal and various unit and campaign awards.
