LIEUTENANT COMMANDER TREVOR DAY, USN
LCDR Trevor Day is a native of Fullerton, CA. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2002 with a BS in Economics. He was commissioned as a Cryptologic Officer and attended the Naval Cryptologic Officer Basic Course in Pensacola, Florida.
In October 2002, he reported to Naval Security Group Activity Menwith Hill, England. He served as a watch officer and supported National requirements.
In 2004, he accepted orders to NSGA Rota and provided air direct support aboard the EP-3E. He was deployed to NSGA Bahrain to complete all operational qualifications and support the missions ongoing in the Middle East. He was deployed for approximately seven months to Bahrain and Qatar supporting COMUSNAVCENT and OIF tasking.
His tour in Rota ended a year early because of the closure of NSGA Rota. In 2006, he subsequently took orders to COMUSNAVCENT in Bahrain. At NAVCENT, he worked within the N2 and coordinated closely with NSA and CENTCOM to bring in new capabilities to the N2. During his tour, he helped to lay the foundation to ultimately establish CSG NAVCENT.
In 2007, after a year in Bahrain, he took orders to the Defense Intelligence Agency. He worked in DTP-1, the office of Planning within the Directorate of MASINT and Technical Collection. He provided planning support for USSOCOM’s ACTIVE SENTINEL program. At DIA, he gained experience working with a number of different organizations, both military and civilian. He supported SPECIAL OPERATIONS SOUTHERN COMMAND (SOUTHCOM) collection requirements at DIA, and deployed to Colombia and Paraguay.
In 2009, he took orders to Naval Postgraduate School in order to pursue a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering. He graduated in September 2011 with a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. His thesis work was focused on automating the intelligence process for the Department of Defense.
In 2011, he accepted orders to Naval Special Warfare Support Activity-1 (SA-1) in Coronado, California. At SA-1, he served as the Special Collections Troop Commander and was in charge of the Tactical Information Operations (TIO) program’s support Naval Special Warfare Operations in OEF-A, CENTCOM, and PACOM. He deployed to Jalalabad, Afghanistan from November 2012 to March 2013 supporting special warfare operations in OEF-A.
In 2014, he transferred to Navy Information Operation Command Whidbey Island and assumed the role of Executive Officer.
LCDR Day’s personal awards include the Air Medal (2), Joint Service Commendation Medal (2), Navy Commendation Medal (2), Joint Service Achievement Medal (2), and Navy Achievement Medal.
