CAPT William A. Dodge Jr., Enlisting in the United States Marine Corps in 1984, CAPT Dodge was stationed at Anacostia Naval Station, achieved the rank of Private First Class, and earned an appointment to the United States Naval Academy. He is a 1989 USNA graduate with a degree in Political Science and a 2007 graduate of the Naval Post Graduate School with a Masters in Business Administration (with distinction). He earned his Naval Flight Officer wings in 1990 and reported to VA-128 at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island to fly the A6-E Intruder.

While performing routine carrier operations off the coast of San Diego in March 1992, CAPT Dodge survived a refueling explosion in his aircraft onboard the USS RANGER. Following months of hospitalization and rehabilitative therapy, he completed combat tours with VA-145 again aboard the USS RANGER, and with VA-52 aboard the USS KITTY HAWK. In 1995 he reported to VQ-2 in Rota, Spain where he qualified as an EP-3E Senior Electronic Warfare Evaluator and Mission Commander. 

In 1998, CAPT Dodge completed training as an EA-6B Prowler Electronic Countermeasures Officer and was assigned to the Electronic Attack Weapons School as the Communications Electronic Attack Phase Head. He earned qualifications as EA-6B Mission Commander and Prowler Tactics Instructor, and flew 22 combat missions with VAQ-138 over Serbia and Kosovo in support of Operation ALLIED FORCE.

In October 2001, CAPT Dodge reported to VQ-1 for his Department Head tour serving as the Safety Officer, Operations Officer and SEVAL NATOPS Evaluator. During this tour, he was assigned as Commander, Task Group 57.1 (VQ OIC) in Manama, Bahrain and led crews in combat over Afghanistan and Iraq as an EP-3E Mission Commander.

In November 2003, CAPT Dodge reported to US Naval Forces Central Command, FIFTH FLEET as the Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance/Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Operations Officer, followed by a tour at the Pentagon to serve on the CNO’s Staff as the Electronic Warfare Officer in the Information Operations Directorate (now OPNAV N2N6).

Following designation as an Information Warfare Officer, CAPT Dodge commanded Navy Information Operations Command Whidbey Island 2008-2010, followed by a year-long Individual Augmentation assignment as the Operations Officer for Combined Joint Interagency Task Force 435 in Kabul, Afghanistan. Prior to selection for command of NCTAMS PAC, he served on the staff of the Commander US Pacific Fleet as the Deputy Director for Intelligence and the Director of Information Operations (N2A/N39).

CAPT Dodge has been married to the love of his life, the former Ms Sharon Rogers of Columbia, Maryland for 24 years. They have a 20 year-old son, Tyler who is a CTISN at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA, and twin 15 year old daughters, Caitlyn and Sarah.
