Full Title Naval Correspondence (CO03)
Description This course provides a detailed review of the fundamentals and principles for the preparation of naval correspondence. This course will provide the student with the standards and procedures used when preparing all types of naval correspondence--letters, memorandums, e-mails, etc. The course will focus on the uniform standards for the management and preparation of naval correspondence as set forth in the Navy Correspondence Manual and other related reference materials, to include the Navy Records Management Program Standard Subject Identification Code Manual, and the Guide to Naval Writing. Topics include: official policies, procedures and guidance for the preparation of naval correspondence; correct format for both internal and external correspondence, and proven techniques for effective business writing; and proofreading, revisions, and editing.
Eligibility All civilian and military personnel serviced by the HRSC East.
