Full Title TIER I & II Mediator Training
Description This 40 hour intensive training fulfills the requirements of Tier I and II of the DON Certified Mediator Program. Those who successfully complete this training will advance to Tier III. Further information about the DON’s Mediation Program is available on the DON public portal’s ADR page or at www.adrnavy.mil.

Those who successfully complete Tiers I & II are expected to attend the Tier III (or Navy Model Refresher) Training tentatively scheduled for July 8 & 9
2013 in Philadelphia PA.

TARGET AUDIENCE: DON military and civilian employees are invited to apply for this course. PREREQUISITES: All participants must have prior approval of their Command ADR Program Manager to participate. This course requires an application, supervisory endorsement, and 2-year commitment participate in the DON ADR Program as a neutral. The application is available at http://www.adr.navy.mil/content/programdocs.aspx COST: This training is funded by the DON ADR Program, and is NO COST to the participant or their Command, however, any travel and per diem expenses are the responsibility of the participant’s Command.

PAYMENT P ROCEDURES: There is no direct cost for this course. If travel and per diem are required, it will be a cost to the Command sponsoring the participant.

GENERAL: OCHR Philadelphia courses are open to all Department of the Navy activities. Attendees who currently meet eligibility requirements or have been elected for such a position may be accepted. Substitutions after the nomination deadline are acceptable if the student meets eligibility criteria.
No recording devices of any kind are permitted in OCHR Philadelphia Operations Center classes.
Cancellation Please provide as much advance notice as possible for enrollment cancellations in this no-cost course. It is preferred that cancellation notification be given by no later 05/22/2013.
