The focus of the course will be on the aspects of financial planning inside and outside of the federal benefits package. Federal employees at all career levels will benefit from this presentation. A one day course that will include.
1. Understanding the economic value of your defined benefit retirement (CSRS & FERS).
2. Determining your financial needs and retirement goals and understanding modified current income (MCI).
3.Thrift Savings Plan (Traditional & Roth) pre-and post retirement.
4. Survivor Benefits In service and retirement.
5. Managing Social Security, Government Pension Offset, CSRS Offset and dual income retirees.
6. Federal income tax issues pre and post retirement.
7. Asset allocation. |

ENROLLMENT: Fax an approved SF 182 Training Request with a cover sheet to the HRSC East Training Registrar at (757) 396-7977 or (757) 396-7978, DSN 386.
PAYMENT PROCEDURES: All HRSC East sponsored courses will be paid for by government purchase card. The purchase card holder's name, telephone number, and fax number must be entered on all SF-182s, Section B, Block #19 or the SF-182 will be returned.
