 FEDERAL EXECUTIVE INSTITUTE / LEADERSHIP FOR A DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY

At the Federal Executive Institute, you will build your knowledge and skills in personal leadership, transforming public organizations, the policy framework in which government leadership occurs, and the broad global context of international trends and events that shape government agendas.

Target Audience: GS 15, SES or equivalent

Program Duration: 30 days (4 consecutive weeks or two 2-week sessions)

Tuition: $19,875

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia

Eligibility: Be fully prepared to attend the program and complete all essential pre-course work before the deadline

Developmental Activities:

  • Gain a broader understanding of the Constitution and how it continues to inform modern government
  • Have a better understanding of the policy framework in which executives must lead and the interplay among major stakeholders at national and global levels
  • Develop keen insights into your leadership strengths and areas for development
  • Devise a plan to improve your organization’s performance
  • Increase your networks for enhanced problem-solving support
  • Better understand the importance of Federal service and the diverse talents of Federal executives
  • Improve your personal wellness by maintaining a better balance between career and health issues

Nomination Deadline: July 27, 2012

How to Apply: Nominations must be endorsed through the chain-of-command. Upon chain-of-command approval, Command Training Representatives will forward billable documents (Interagency Agreement, IPAC, SF-182 or MIPR) to OCHR at least six weeks prior to the start of the program.

Program applicants are advised that their organization may have different deadline dates and requirements. It is important to check with the Command Training Representative for information regarding deadline dates and requirements.
