Participants in this program receive a foundational knowledge and understanding of core leadership skills and competencies. This program meets one-week a month for two months.

GS 4, 5, 6, or equivalent

Eligibility:
- Minimum of 2 years of Federal service
- Demonstrated flexibility in work habits
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment
- Ability to initiate work independently with minimum supervision, direction, or assistance
- Interest in legislative procedures, practices, and techniques
Learning Activities:
- Management readings and reviews
- Management interviews
- Shadowing assignment with a Federal manager
- Learning team activities and presentations

How to Apply:
The nomination package must be endorsed through the chain-of-command. Upon chain-of-command approval, Command
Training Representatives will forward endorsed nomination packages to the USDA Graduate School.
