The information provided by each agency is consolidated and reported to Congress by the EEOC.

The Department of the Navy prepares this report annually from data supplied through the iComplaints database. The information reported covers Discrimination Complaints processing in accordance with 29 C.F.R § 1614.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission provides policy guidance and standards for establishing and maintaining effective programs of equal employment opportunity under Section 717 of Title VII and Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act. Their Management Directive 715 seeks for all Federal agencies to create and maintain a model EEO program, to include:

2. Integration of EEO into the agency’s strategic mission
3. Management and program accountability
4. Proactive prevention of unlawful discrimination
5. Efficiency
6. Responsiveness and legal compliance.
