Commanding Officer's Suicide Prevention Program Handbook Now Available

Navy Suicide Prevention has developed the Commanding Officer's Suicide Prevention Program Handbook to guide COs and suicide prevention coordinators through the essential elements of developing and maintaining a robust deckplate Suicide Prevention Program. It contains useful and up-to-date information, policy guidance and educational tools to build a command climate supportive of psychological and emotional well-being--from prevention, to intervention and response. In January 2016, the Dept. of Defense Suicide Event Report (DoDSER) process was updated to improve data quality. The new process, as well as information on other reporting requirements are available by navigating to Command & Leaders > Reporting Requirements.
