In December 2010, President Obama signed the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010 which requires the heads of each executive agency to establish and implement a policy under which employees shall be authorized to telework.
The current DOD Telework Policy is being revised to align with the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010. A DON instruction is also being drafted to incorporate these changes.
