Message from the BUPERS Command Deputy EEO Officer

As BUPERS advances to a new era, it strives to be diverse and the employer of choice.  In this process the Chief of Naval Personnel's vision is key to BUPERS future capability.  It consists of three interdependent elements: people, readiness and transformation.  We are transforming business practices and must ensure readiness among military service members and civilian employees by reinforcing stability, accountability, and continuous process improvement.  BUPERS must also promote a diverse culture that embraces fairness for all customers and stakeholders.

We have entered into a new dimension where current information is critical to achieving our mission.  Military and civilian leaders must posses the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to enhance organizational value.  Our goal for the EEO web page is to provide a central repository for current and relevant civilian EEO and Civil Rights information, and to promote effective communication and information sharing.

This site is user friendly, easy to access, and more importantly, provides real-time EEO information as well as links to other sites that contain pertinent EEO information.  I hope that you will utilize it regularly as a resource for EEO.  I also encourage you to look for new information as the material is continuously updated.  Your comments, suggestions, concerns, and questions relating to any of the information provided on how we may enhance the site to better suit your needs are welcome.
