Candidates that desire to apply for Surface Warfare Officer (Conventional), should read the Program Authorization for eligibility at the link below:
Program Authorization 100
You must be commissioned before your 31st birthday, there are no exceptions to this policy. Waivers are absolutely NOT authorized for GPA (2.8 minimum) and/or OAR (45 minimum).
If otherwise eligible, age waivers (must have prior active service) will be processed by Navy Recruiting Command's Professional Recommendation Board once completed application packages are received. You must first submit your package, CNRC will then determine if an age waiver is required.
The age limit for SWO with an Information Warfare Community (INTEL, CW, IP, OCEANO) option is 35, no waiver required. You cannot decline the option at any time if accepted for this program. Contact the IWC Deputy Community Manager for further information at 901-874-3391 or DSN 882-3391.
OCS candidates should first contact their Command Career Counselor for information on commissioning programs.
The schedule for Navy Recruiting Command's Professional Recommendation Boards is listed at the link below.
