BECOMING AN EOD OFFICER
Midshipmen and Officer Candidates from the U.S. Naval Academy, Naval ROTC units, Officer Candidate School and Seaman to Admiral (STA-21) commissioning programs are selected to join this elite officer community each year. Candidates and selectees must demonstrate academic excellence, exceptional leadership potential and superior physical fitness.
OCS applicants should contact their local officer recruiter or follow OPNAVINST 1420.1B (Enlisted to Officer Commissioning Programs), as applicable, in addition to MILPERSMAN 1210-230.
The training pipeline to achieve designation as an EOD qualified officer challenges every candidate both physically and mentally. If you're interested in a demanding and highly rewarding Navy career and motivated to meet the challenges EOD offers submit your application via one of the accession sources listed above.
