The Immediate Availability Division (472) processes immediate availabilities for Seaman, Fireman and Airman, assign personnel during commencement and completion of LIMDU orders. They also detail disqualified availabilities, such as military married under the same Commanding Officer or UIC. Drug/Alcohol rehabilitiation reassignment and service member going on a pregnancy tour.
If you are undesignated and under orders when the examination results are published, you will have to call your prospective rating detailer for a possible order modification. If there are billets for your new rating available on your prospective command, the probability exists that your orders will be modified only to indicate your new rating. For instances where there is no available billet, your detailer will negotiate starting with priority fills. To avoid hardships, newly rated sailors should not take any action (i.e. house or car buying) until it is definite where they are to be assigned next. For more information, contact your current detailer or if you were under orders and became rated, contact your rating detailer.
**PACT Sailors are Needs of the Navy.**
**Commands should visit Placement Managment (PERS-4013) for questions reguarding billets.**
