If you are interested in enhancing your career with a challenging job within the Culinary Specialist rating, look no further. The Flag Mess/ Enlisted Aide Program is a great opportunity.

There are billets in places such as Italy, Bahrain, Germany, Brussels, Hawaii, Singapore, Korea, Guam, and throughout the United States.  In addition, some of these billets are working at The White House, Camp David, Vice President's Residence and at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Flag Mess billets Ashore and Afloat for one to four star Admirals, including Joint Staff Commands are available.

Promotion rate is very competitive.  Enlisted Aide, and Advanced Culinary Skills training is provided through Ft Lee, Virginia.  If you believe you have what it takes to showcase your culinary expertise and your management skills, then I encourage you to apply for one of these career enhancing billets.  If you have any questions concerning the program, please contact the coordinator above.

If you are interested in any of the above programs, please start expressing your desire no later than 12 months prior to your Projected Rotation Date (PRD) to your in-rate surface detailer first to be released to the Enlisted Aide/Flag Mess Program.

It is highly recommended that prior to requesting a Personal Quarters Culinary Specialist (PQCS) billet, that you refer to MILPERSMAN 1306-937 to ensure you meet all requirements for the program.

      Your Flag screening package should include the following ...

  • Photo ( full frontal in dress uniform)
  • Bio
  • Last 3 FITREPS
  • 1306/7 (request to be released from regular CS detailer to the Enlisted Aide Program) Endorsed by your CO.
1306/92 (special duty screening form) Endorsed by your CO.
