  • Greetings all, I have officially assumed the duties as your rating detailer.  My goal is to balancing your personal preferences with career enhancement opportunities, which can be difficult. In order to make this process a smooth one, I ask that you to be flexible, proactive, and communicate. Below are a few items to consider when you enter your negotiation window:

    - Sea/Shore rotation
    - Keep me up to date with your career status and intentions
    - Apply for billets in CMS-ID
    - Become familiar with NAVADMIN 226/12

Hello everyone,

I have officially taken over as the new AM/AS detailer. I intend to help and meet every Sailors expectation to the best of my ability. Please understand that I am an advocate for you and I have your best interest set as my priority. That being said, also understand that there are NAVADMINS and billet availabilities that restrict me from billeting you to the exact location or command that you want. I ask that you be flexible while negotiating orders and be proactive about your career and ensure your intentions are communicated well. Please be aware of the SEA/SHORE rotation and ensure your CWAY packages are submitted prior to negotiating orders as required. I am excited to be working with you and I am looking forward to working with each of you and meeting the Navy’s manning requirements. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

  • AS FTS Community: If you are currently in your negotiation window please do not wait. Billets are very limited and need to be filled even if you do not apply.
  • AM FTS Community:  Currently, there are several opportunities for motivated First Class Petty Officers who would like to gain experience in the Helicopter community. If you are interested, please call your detailer.
  • All conversions into the AM or AS FTS community will be sent, if approved, to “A” school in Pensacola, FL.  Sailors will attend the basic course and the ultimate duty station will NOT be determined until the last weeks of the class graduation have been identified.

  • AWF FTS Community: Currently the most undermanned NEC in our community is 8252 (C-130FE).  If you are in your negotiation window it is highly likely that you may be selected to this platform even if you are currently not in this platform.  All highly motivated E-5s that are approaching their negotiation window are advised to consider this NEC. 

  • AD FTS Community: Conversions into the AD community will be sent if approved to AD A school in Pensacola, FL upon reenlistment into the FTS community.  Once at the A school the Sailor will go through the first portion of the school which is the core basics.  Upon completion of core, the Sailor will be given a "strand" class.  This strand class will determine the platform that the Sailor will serve in upon completion of A school.  The three strands are helicopter, jet and turbo-props.  The A school will then send the detailer a graduation roster informing the detailer to what platform orders should be written to.  The Sailor’s ultimate duty station will be determined by the needs of the Navy and may not be known until the final week of the strand.

  • AT Community:  The PERS 4013 Team at NPC has completed the rate review for the AT rate.  Billets should increase slightly throughout the next two CMSID cycles.  Please continue to monitor CMSID and bid on any billets within your pay grade that may interest you.  If you have any questions do not hesitate to call or email me.
  • PR Community:  The PR Community is very small.  There are several billets that need to be filled.  Please keep in mind when bidding on CMSID, the jobs that are advertised need to be filled before new jobs will populate.  Please call or email me with any questions or concerns.     
  • AME Community:  AME billets are very limited.  The PERS 4013 Team is currently performing a rate review for the AME rate.  This should allow some new billets to populate if needed.  Continue to monitor CMSID for available billets.  Please call or email me with any questions or comments.
  • General Comment:  If you are within a month of your negotiation window, please reach out to me to see what jobs may be in your window.  If you are currently in your negotiation window, please bid on jobs advertised on CMSID.  If you are in a “needs of the Navy” status and have had no jobs to bid on, you will be allowed another look in CMSID for the following month.  If you are “needs of the Navy” and did not bid on available jobs, you need to contact me as soon as possible.  Please know when you are in your negotiation window as it is your career.

 

**APPLICATIONS FOR FTS AT, AME, AND PR DETAILER POSITION**
1.  BUREAU OF NAVAL PERSONNEL IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FROM PERSONNEL INTERESTED IN THE FTS AT, AME, AND PR DETAILER POSITION.
2.  PERSONNEL MUST BE A CHIEF WITHIN THE AT, AME, OR PR RATING IN THE FTS COMMUNITY AND SERVED ON BOARD THEIR CURRENT COMMAND FOR 24 MONTHS AS OF MARCH 2015.  APPLICATIONS SHALL CONSIST OF NAVPERS 1306/7 (PERSONNEL ACTION REQUEST), NAVPERS 1306/92 (SPECIAL PROGRAMS SCREENING FORM, SECTION A, B2, AND D - SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED), LAST THREE EVALS, LAST THREE YEARS PHYSICAL FITNESS ASSESSMENT RESULTS, RECENT THREE-QUARTER VIEW FULL LENGTH PHOTOGRAPH APPROXIMATELY 5” X 7” IN SERVICE DRESS KHAKIS UNIFORM (IF THERE ARE ANY VISIBLE TATTOOS PROVIDE CLOSE UP PICTURE OF EACH AND A DESCRIPTION OF WHAT THE TATTOO(S) SIGNIFY), AND ENDORSEMENT BY COMMANDING OFFICER (ON LETTERHEAD) AND COMMAND MASTER CHIEF.  ENDORSEMENTS SHALL INCLUDE AT A MINIMUM, CURRENT HEIGHT/WEIGHT/BODY FAT PERCENTAGE AND SHALL STATE WHETHER OR NOT THE SAILOR HAS ANY PENDING PACKAGES AND/OR HAS RECEIVED LETTER OF INDEBTEDNESS IN THE LAST 36 MONTHS.
3.  POTENTIAL CANDIDATES SHALL CONTACT RATING DETAILER PRIOR TO SUBMISSION OF PACKAGE TO DISCUSS ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS.  POTENTIAL CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST 24 MONTHS ONBOARD CURRENT COMMAND AS OF MARCH 2015.
4.  DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION SUBMISSION IS 30 MAY 2014.  SELECTION WILL BE MADE APPROXIMATELY 30 JUNE 2014.  SELECTEE WILL BE ISSUED PCS ORDERS TO REPORT APRIL 2015 TO MILLINGTON, TN.
