Current Presidential Certificate of Appreciation (20 years military)

A Presidential Retirement Certificate is available for personnel retiring with 20 or more years of military service and can be ordered through their Command Career Counselor. Presidential Certificates are no longer mailed from NPC with Fleet Reserve/Retirement Packages.  Form DD 2542 is now available for order through:
http://forms.daps.dla.mil/order

When you arrive at this website, at the top of the page, type DD 2542 (with the space) in the Search Criteria box, and change Stock Number to Form Number (0106LF1273500) in the drop-down list.

Presidential Letter of Appreciation (30 years military)
For a service member retiring with 30 years of active-duty service, Navy Personnel Command Millington, Tennessee automatically submits a request for a letter from the President. For more information regarding the Presidential LOA refer to
NAVADMIN 231/06.
