  Command Master Chief Davis M. Hill hails from Courtland, Virginia.  He entered active naval service in September 1988 and reported to Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Ill. After completion of Basic Training he attended Aviation Machinist’s Mate “A” School and was designated an Aviation Machinist’s Mate.

Sea duty assignments include USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65), USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 74), Fighter Squadron ONE FOUR embarked onboard USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV 67), Strike Fighter Squadron ONE THREE SIX embarked onboard USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65), Strike Fighter Squadron THREE ONE embarked onboard USS GEORGE H. W. BUSH (CVN 77).

Shore duty assignments include Helicopter Combat Support Squadron FOUR, Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO ONE, and Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic.

Master Chief Hill took over as the Command Master Chief of Strike Fighter Squadron THREE FOUR in December 2014. He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 183) and the Command Master Chief course.

Master Chief Hill's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards).  He is authorized to wear the Enlisted Aviation Warfare and Surface Warfare breast insignias, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and various service medals and ribbons.
