CAPTAIN CHRISTOPHER COUCH
UNITED STATES NAVY
A native of Macon, GA, Captain Couch attended Auburn University where he was commissioned an Ensign in June 1994 and attended Aviation Maintenance Officer (AMO) indoctrination in Pensacola, FL.
Captain Couch’s operational assignments include “The Valions” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 15, Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Ronald Reagan (PCU 76), USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN 75), USS GEORGE H. W. BUSH (CVN 77). He has served as AIMD Officer, Material Control Officer, Aircraft Division Officer, Quality Assurance Officer, Assistant Maintenance Officer, IM-3 Officer, and Maintenance Material Control Officer.
His shore assignments include Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Detachment (AIMD) Norfolk as Quality Assurance Officer, Airframes Officer and Paraloft Officer; Deputy Program Manager for Air Vehicle Systems and F/A-18/EA-18G Assistant Program Manager for Logistics in PMA-265; Consolidated Automated Support Systems (CASS) Assistant Program Manager for Logistics in PMA-260; Engines System Business Team Production Officer at Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE); and Carrier Strike Group Readiness Officer at Commander, Naval Air Forces Atlantic.
Captain Couch received a Master of Science in Management from Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA, a Master of Arts in National Security Decision Making and Strategic Studies from the Navy War College, Level III certifications in Program Management, Acquisition Logistics, and Production, Quality, and Manufacturing, and completed the Naval War College Non-Resident Seminar, earning credit for Joint Professional Military Education, Phase I.
In August of 2016, Captain Couch reported to Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic as the Executive Officer.
Captain Couch is designated a Professional Aviation Maintenance Officer and has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards), and various campaign, service, and unit awards.
