MASTER CHIEF AUGUSTINE MARK

CMDCM(AW/IDW) Augustine Mark is a native of the Spice Island Grenada in the Eastern Caribbean. He graduated from Boys & Girls High School in Brooklyn, New York, and joined the U.S. Navy in August 1988.
After completing basic training in Great Lakes, IL he reported to AMH “A” School in October 1988. His first assignment was Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO SIX (VFA-106) in Jacksonville, Florida.
His shore duty assignments include Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron TWO (VQ-2), Rota Spain, Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Command (NATEC), Detachment New River Jacksonville, North Carolina, and U.S. Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS) Far East, Yokosuka, Japan.
Sea tours include Strike Fighter Squadron ONE NINE FIVE (VFA-195), Atsugi, Japan, VFA-82, Jacksonville, Florida, VFA-27, Atsugi, Japan, VFA-192, Atsugi, Japan and VFA-31, Virginia Beach, Florida onboard Aircraft Carriers USS INDEPENDENCE (CV 62), USS AMERICA (CV 66), USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73), USS KITTY HAWK (CV 63) and USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH (CVN 77).
In July 2013 he reported aboard Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic, Virginia Beach, Virginia and assumed the duties as Command Master Chief.
Master Chief Mark’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (seven awards), Good Conduct Award (six awards), and numerous other campaign and unit awards.
