Captain Christopher Boyle was born in Boston Massachusetts and attended the United States Naval Academy,   graduating and receiving his commission as an Ensign with the Class of 1992.    Reporting to NAS Pensacola in January of 1993, CAPT Boyle was designated a Naval Flight Officer in June of 1995. 
CAPT Boyle’s initial fleet assignment was to the “Black Knights” of VF-154, forward based in Atsugi, Japan.  During his tour with VF-154, CAPT Boyle completed three deployments aboard USS INDEPENDENCE and USS KITTY HAWK, participating in Operation SOUTHERN WATCH and various Pacific Theater exercises.  In July of 1999, CAPT Boyle returned to the United States and to VF-101, serving as an instructor and Strike Phase Leader.
In January of 2002, CAPT Boyle reported to the staff of Carrier Air Wing THREE where he served as Strike Operations Officer.  During his tour, CAPT Boyle deployed aboard USS HARRY S. TRUMAN and participated in Operations NORTHERN WATCH and IRAQI FREEDOM.  CAPT Boyle then served as Safety Officer and Operations Officer of the “Swordsmen” of VF-32, where he completed a second overseas deployment aboard the USS HARRY S. TRUMAN supporting Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.      
In November of 2005 CAPT Boyle reported to the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island.  Graduating in November of 2006, CAPT Boyle was assigned to the staff of Commander Naval Air Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet as the Master Aviation Plan and Fighter Readiness Officer.  CAPT Boyle reported to the “Black Lions” of VFA-213 as Executive Officer in August of 2009 and assumed command in November of 2010.  CAPT Boyle led the squadron on a combat deployment aboard the USS GEORGE H W BUSH in support of Operations NEW DAWN and ENDURING FREEDOM.
CAPT Boyle reported to the Joint Staff, Plans and Policy Directorate (J-5) in March of 2012 where he served as a Counter Proliferation Action Officer and Executive Assistant for the Deputy Director for Strategic Stability.  In January of 2014, CAPT Boyle reported to the staff of Commander Naval Air Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet as Air Wing Readiness Officer.         
CAPT Boyle has amassed over 3000 flight hours and 600 carrier arrested landings.  His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Strike Flight Air Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal among other unit and campaign awards.
