Deploy Combat Ready Detachments . . . Grow Leaders
Helicopter Maritime Strike Wing, U.S. Atlantic Fleet, is an operational and administrative Type Wing composed of the Wing Staff, five Atlantic Fleet Light Airborne Multi-Purpose System (LAMPS) MK III Squadrons (HSL), two Helicopter Maritime Strike (HSM) Squadrons, one local Helicopter Maritime Strike Weapons School Atlantic(HSMWSL), one Surface Rescue Swimmer School (SRSS), and one Carrier Tactical Support Center.
COMHELMARSTRIKEWINGLANT is responsible for all aspects of material readiness and type training of the units assigned when shore-based, and as appropriate when they are deployed.
